Neurodiverse training for 2024 /25 season

We are excited to announce the launch of a new neurodiverse coaching setup at Horsforth JFC this September. This innovative program is designed to support and empower children with any neurodiversity, including those with autism and ADHD. We are incredibly proud to offer this inclusive initiative, which will provide a supportive and understanding environment for all our young athletes.

The importance of this program lies in our belief that every child deserves the chance to play and enjoy football in a setting that respects and nurtures their individual needs. Neurodiverse children often face unique challenges, and traditional coaching methods, training spaces and session plans may not always be suitable. By tailoring our approach, we aim to create a space where these children can thrive, develop their skills, and build confidence. This setup will not only focus on football techniques but also on fostering social skills, teamwork, and self-esteem.

At Horsforth JFC, we believe that inclusivity is fundamental to the spirit of sports. By launching this neurodiverse coaching setup, we hope to set a new standard in youth football, demonstrating that with the right support, every child can succeed. We are committed to making football accessible and enjoyable for all, and we look forward to welcoming new families into our community.

Throughout the summer our experienced Coaching and Welfare team will be finalising our kickoff plans. We’d really love to connect with as many families as possible to ensure we shape the programme in the best way possible.

If you think this program might be a good fit for your child, please get in touch for more information.
